Procrastinating in public. Vol.7
First official procrastination of the year!
As I’m sitting on the train writing these words, I can’t help but look around.
Everybody is nailed to their phones.
Scrolling. Watching videos. Getting entertained.
Escaping from their inner thoughts.
Not yet ready to start their workday.
Most likely wishing they’d be back in their beds.
Nobody is learning.
Nobody is producing.
What a collective waste.
I’m pretty sure that most of my fellow commuters have something interesting to share.
Some of them are probably even very talented.
I’m sounding judgmental here, but that’s not my intention.
More a reflection of what society has done to us to put us in this state of anesthesia.
It’s Friday, so I’m writing. But on most days, I’m very likely to join the collective brain fog.
